Jesus

Jesus is our Saviour, our Lord and our King.

Jesus is our magnificent obsession, the focus of our lives and the One we live for. It is our greatest desire that all would encounter his perfect love and come to know the life he offers.

Knowing Jesus is revival; he alone can change and transforms individual lives, families and homes, towns and cities, nations and the world.

You can meet Jesus too. Say this simple prayer from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I believe in you.

I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness.

Please come into my heart as my Lord and Saviour.

Take complete control of my life, help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer,

In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Congratulations!

You have now accepted Jesus into your life and been born again!

You are a child of God. You have a life of worth, significance, and purpose on earth. You have been cleansed from your sin and can know all guilt and shame removed. In the Bible we read “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) To pray these words with a surrendered heart to Jesus is the beginning of the most important journey you will ever embark on: the journey of following Jesus in discipleship.

Continue your journey:

It’s all about Jesus.

Jesus Christ is the Word of God. The Word was with God in the beginning, (John 1:1) which states his pre-existence as one with God. "By Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth" (Colossians 1:16), therefore making Jesus the Creator.

Jesus Christ is the Purpose of God found in all of creation. He is God the Father's delight and desire, and the Father is looking for the reflection of his Son in all created things.

Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. In the beginning, it was the ultimate purpose of God for all things to be summed up in Christ (Ephesians 1:10). Jesus Christ, who pre-existed with God in the form of God, emptied Himself to become fully a man that He might be the propitiatory sacrifice for the sins of mankind.

Jesus was born of a virgin, by the seed of the Holy Spirit. His virgin birth is a testimony that only the Spirit can beget that which is Spirit. Those of the new creation are not solely of human origin, but are born from above by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus lived on earth, dwelling among us; showing us a holy and right way of life, demonstrating the love of God and establishing his Kingdom on earth. In him we have access to the Holy Spirit and a life of healing, wholeness and power.

Through his sacrifice made on the cross, all who believe in Him can have forgiveness of their sins and are restored to the fellowship with God lost by man's transgression.

Jesus Christ has risen from the dead! The resurrection of Jesus' physical body after his crucifixion was literal, as will be the resurrection of both the just and the unjust on the Day of Judgment. "There is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). All who seek restoration and fellowship with God must go through Jesus and cannot approach God through any other person, spirit or doctrine. It is also a supreme presumption for any person or institution to seek to be mediator for others in place of Christ Jesus Himself.

Jesus is the head of the Church (Ephesians 1:22). The apostolic commission was for his followers to labour until Christ was formed in his church, to present every person complete in Christ, and to manifest the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. When Jesus is lifted up, He will draw all people to Himself.

We consider it the primary purpose of the church to esteem and exalt Jesus in every way. It is the focus and devotion of Revival Fires to know and preach Him, and not ourselves. We pray for the grace to continually respond to his call to return to our first Love, that we might passionately devote ourselves to pleasing Him in all things while preparing for his return.
