Covid-19 Update

Dear Friends

We want to give you this update with our response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We have prayed and sought the Lord on this, met with our leadership team, taken advice from key leaders in the health sector and we are also keeping up-to-date with government guidelines.

Our prayer for everyone of you during this time is that you would be covered by the powerful blood of Jesus, walk free from fear in the leading of the Holy Spirit and take every opportunity to be a beacon of hope, light and strength to those around you. Take courage from these passages at this time:

  • Psalm 91
  • Psalm 20
  • Hebrews 10:38
  • Romans 8:38

  • We continue to pursue the vision and work God has given us, even if some things may look a little different from how we’ve always done them!

As lockdown begins to lift and we start the first steps of opening our meetings at Revival Fires, we have been encouraged by the Early Church (in 1 Cor 11) where they often gathered around tables for fellowship, teaching and ministry. We believe this season has offered us a glorious opportunity to do the same, and we invite you to Come to the Table!

Starting on Sunday 9 August, following guidelines and advice, we are opening our Sunday morning meeting to a smaller capacity on a first-come-first-seated basis. You can register for this here. Please read below our necessary safety measures in place to ensure we minimise risk, keep everyone safe and give you the confidence to return to Church. You can also click here if you wish to see our risk assessment in making your own decision to attend.

We realise that there are those who are eager and desperate to return to a Church meeting, and there are also those who do not feel comfortable at this time to attend. There is no compulsory factor, you are free to make your decision based on your convictions. We will also continue our current format of streaming the meeting and zoom time, so no one will miss out!

You can find more on public health website here (click for link).

This is a time of opportunity, so download our outreach card here and be a blessing in whatever way you can while being aware of your own health safety.

    Keeping You Safe

To ensure the safety of our church members, we ask you to follow these guidelines with us:

    Face Masks on Entry

Face masks will need to be worn in the building, so please bring your own masks.

    Automatic Hand Sanitiser Stations

We have multiple automatic (no need to touch!) hand sanitiser stations in place around the building. Please use them, especially upon entry.

    One-Way Flow System

We have a one-way system in place to avoid unnecessary contact. Please enter through the main reception doors where you can check out the table plans and use the toilets on your way through to the main hall. We will leave the building table by table through the door from the main hall to the car park.

    Registration

In order to ensure the amount of people we can host in the building under these guidelines and to keep all the information needed for track and trace, pre-registration is required for these Sunday meetings. We have added some sections on the registration form about people at Revival Fires who are already in your bubble. This will help us set out a table seating plan. We also aim to seat people in Life Group bubbles where possible.

Tables for Social Bubbles and Social Distancing

We will be sitting in the main hall around our banqueting tables. These are large and will be effective at creating our bubbles, keeping social distancing and providing a good opportunity for safe fellowship.

    Arrival Times

Please arrive between 10.15am and 10.30am, come through the main doors, passing through the resource centre and make your way to the main hall. The meeting will start at 10.30am. We plan to keep the meetings around 1 hour.

    Social Distancing & Physical Contact

We know this is a hard thing to request, but please note that there should be no touching, hugging or physical contact with anyone.

Bring Your Own Drinks and Snacks

Please feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks. Hot drink in a flask, cold drinks, water.. whatever you like!

    Children

We believe Church should be a fun and welcoming place for children, but these restrictions make it difficult for children to last the full meeting and less enjoyable for them and their parents. We are unable to offer any children's ministry under these government guidelines, and suggest it is better for children not to attend on a Sunday. If parents do feel their children could make it, we ask them to be registered, to stay in their bubbles and to keep to social distancing. Our team will continue the Sunday Morning Facebook LiveStream especially for families and children, at 10am.

    Worship

As we come to our worship time, we ask you to keep your face masks on, turn towards the stage and worship at conversational level.

    Ministry

We can have times of ministry, prayer and encouragement around the tables, but ask you to respect the social distancing guidelines and not to lay hands or touch anyone.

    Live Streaming

We appreciate that not everyone is able or ready to regather in public settings, so we will continue to live stream the meetings on RevivalFires.TV, FaceBook and YouTube.

We prefer to take card payments over cash at the moment for offerings and bookshop sales, where possible. You can also give online to Revival Fires ministry, on any device, either when you are in a meeting or from home by using this link (click here).

Tithes, offerings and gifts can still be received through our website, www.revivalfires.org.uk/give.html

Additional cleaning with the correct products of frequently used items, including door handles and public surfaces, throughout the building will be done by our cleaning team.

Let’s continue to pray at this time – pray for our government as they lead our nation through this situation and pray that hearts we will be strong and courageous as we get our help from God. Pray that we can share the peace that surpasses understanding with those who are facing fear.

    For Revival!
