Prophetic Mandate for January/February 2017: Biblical month of Shevat
On making the transition into the month of Shevat, January to February, I want to share what I have heard the Lord saying, to prepare you and help you shift into a time of blessing.First of all: you will receive a new grace to pray through to completion. The Lord spoke four words to me for this month: ‘The Lord remembered Hannah’.
1 Samuel 1:19 says, “Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah lay with Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her.”
There are times when we face misunderstanding and ridicule that provokes us and adds more pain to the delay of unfulfilled words, dreams and expectations. Hannah was in that exact place before God. Yet she had a ‘but God...’ moment – and this is your time to have your ‘but God’ intervention! This is the month when the Lord will be attentive to your prayer, even prayers you are unable to articulate, coming from a deep cry within. That cry is the intercession of the Holy Spirit. Every word that God has spoken will come to pass. Every groan will reach the heart of God.
Romans 8:26 says, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”
Eli did not understand Hannah’s posture of prayer and needed discernment to realise what she was going through. At the point of him receiving heaven’s revelation, Eli changed his words from ‘how long will you keep getting drunk?’ to, ‘go in peace; may God grant you what you have asked.’ Watch and see the provoking words of the enemy turned into blessing at this time.
The month of Shevat will be marked by a new grace as you realise you are not forgotten, just as the Lord remembered Hannah.
The second is this - remember Asher this month. Asher was the tribe in Israel who prepared and enjoyed rich food. I declare there will be a new sweetness upon the words the Lord has spoken. It is time to enter the blessing of the prophecies and promises He has given us.
Asher also speaks of preparing delicacies fit for a king. Upon receiving favour from the Lord, Hannah was able to eat again and her countenance changed as her heart was lifted up. This is your month to be lifted up! God is about to make His face shine upon you and give you His peace.
Then lastly: this will be a time when you bring to full term the prophetic word that God has sown in you. God is breathing life into every area of unfruitfulness. This is a word for marriages today: God is turning your barrenness into fruitfulness!
One of the things the Lord asked me to do was to give away seeds of the forget-me-not flower as a prophetic sign that He remembers and does not forget. As you plant these seeds, nurture and care for them, you will see them blossom in their coming season. So too, as you come under the favour of God and care for the words He has given you, in due season you will bring forth what the Lord desires for your life.
My prayer is that you would step forward in this month with a renewed sense of the Lord remembering you by name. Place your name here:
